BESAN TOAST/A HEALTHY TOAST WITH GRAM FLOUR AND VEGGIES

A healthy, as well as fulfilling breakfast, makes my day. And if breakfast contains most of the nutrients like carbohydrates, protein, vitamins, and fiber, nothing is better than this. The besan toast is such a healthy and power-packed breakfast to kick start a day. Besan or gram flour is loaded with protein and high in fibers. Seasonal veggies are added to add vitamins and minerals. Bread fulfills the need for carbs. This is so filling that you don’t feel hungry for hours
To make this toast, a batter of besan and water is prepared. Salt, dry and fresh chilies along with some seasonal veggies are added. Finally, the bread slices are dipped into the batter to Tawa or pan fry the besan toast. These go well with green chutneys or tomato ketchup. These toasts are ideal for kiddos’ tiffin boxes. In this way, they eat seasonal vegetables

NOTES
1- You can add little sooji/rava to the batter to make them crispier

3- The batter should be neither too thick nor thin. The very thick batter makes the toast hard and dry and the very thin batter does not stick properly to the bread slice
