During winters, broccoli and spring onions become my favourite because of their easy availability and the freshness they add to any dish. Cooking becomes fun with both of them. Numerous dishes can be cooked adding both the healthy greens. When these are mixed with the idli batter, a complete meal is created
These idlis are perfect for the lunch box. If you are not able to carry the sambhar, A few chutneys will be good companions with the broccoli-green onion idlis. These idlis are so flavoursome and healthy that you would love to make them so frequently.

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED TO MAKE BROCCOLI-GREEN ONION IDLIS
• Idli batter – 2 cups
• Finely chopped broccoli – 1/2 cup
• Finely chopped green/spring onions – 1/4 cup
• Finely chopped coriander leaves – 1 tbsp
• Finely chopped dry red chillies – 1 tsp
• Salt – 2 tsp
• Black pepper powder – 1 tsp
• Red chilly powder – 1 tsp
DIRECTIONS TO MAKE BROCCOLI-GREEN ONION IDLIS
1- Take a mixing bowl and add all the ingredients mentioned above
2- Mix them well to make a batter. Grease the idli mould with oil and add 1 tbsp batter to each mould
3- Steam the idlis till perfection and serve with green chutney
