To make Chicken Fried Rice, you would need boneless chicken cubes, rice, a few colourful veggies, an egg or two, and a few Indo-Chinese sauces like soy sauce, green and red chilli sauces, vinegar, and tomato ketchup. The whole cooking process is done at a high flame to retain the crunch of vegetables
For Chicken Fried Rice, the chicken cubes are marinated for 20 minutes with salt, pepper, ginger-garlic paste ,and red chilly powder as a first step. Side by side, you can boil or steam the rice till perfection. When the chicken is marinated, pan-fry or deep-fry them to cook nicely on all sides. These pieces are cooked and crisp now to add to the dish. An egg or two will add to the taste. Veggies like cabbage, onion, and green and red bell peppers add colours making the dish very appetizing. ● INGREDIENTS REQUIRED
• Boneless chicken pieces – 7-8 (medium -sized)
• Boiled Rice – 1 cup( 8-10 tbsp)
• Shredded Cabbage – 1/2 cup
• Onion – 1 large (cubed)
• Cubed Carrot – 1 small (cubed)
• Green Capsicum – 1 small (cubed)
• Red Capsicum – 1/4 bowl ( cubed)
• Finely chopped garlic – 1 tbsp – 1 small • •Spring onions for garnish – 1 tbsp
• Egg – 1-2 nos
• Oil – 2+1 tbsp
• Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
• Ginger-Garlic paste – 1 tbsp
● SAUCES AND SPICES
• Soy sauce – 2 tbsp
• White vinegar – 1 tbsp
• Green chilli sauce – 1 tbsp
• Red chilli sauce – 1 tbsp
• Tomato ketchup – 1 tbsp
• Salt – 1+1 tsp
• Pepper powder – 1 tsp
● PREPARATIONS TO BE DONE
1 – Boil rice with 1 tsp salt. Avoid cooking them mushy
2 – Marinate chicken pieces for 15 minutes with a little salt, red chilly powder, lemon juice, and ginger-garlic paste.
3- Chop and slice all the veggies
● HOW TO MAKE CHICKEN FRIED RICE
1- To begin, heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and add marinated chicken pieces. Pan-fry them until they get a golden brown colour all around.
2- Cook them now for a few minutes by covering them with a lid so that they get softened
3- When the chicken is done well, take them out and shred it into smaller pieces. Keep them aside
4- Take the same pan and add 1 tsp oil. Drop chopped garlic in the oil and saute them. Avoid overcooking them
5- Next, add sliced cabbage and carrots. Saute them at high flame
6- Next, add sliced onions and saute them
7- Next, add diced bell peppers (both green and red). Saute them for a few seconds
8- Break and drop an egg in the centre. Add salt and pepper all around and cook the egg with vegetables
9- Now, add shredded chicken and mix well
10- Time to add vinegar, and all the sauces(soy, red chilli sauce green chilli sauce, and ketchup). Combine well all the ingredients
11- Finally, add boiled rice and combine all the ingredients to complete the delectable plate of flavours and colours. (taste a little to check the seasoning)
12- The Chicken Fried Rice is ready to invite eager diners to dig into the delectable bowl of flavours. This is absolutely yummy 😋
