Wheat Dalia/ Broken Wheat Upma |

INGREDIENTS-:
Wheat dalia – 1 cup (soaked for 30 minutes )
Water – 2 cups
Finely chopped carrots, onions and capsicums – 1/2 cup
corns – 1/4 cup
Oil or ghee – 1 tbsp
Salt, pepper, red chilly powder, cinnamon powder and garam masala powder – 2 tsp. each
Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
Whole red chilly- 2-3 nos.
Step By Step
1- First of all heat oil and ghee in a pan and add whole red chillies. Stir them and add cumin seeds.
2- When they crackle add chopped veggies and saute.
3- Next, Add all the powdered spices and salt.
4- Now add soaked dalia and corns. Stir them well and add water.
5- Bring to one boil and simmer the flame. Cover the pan with lid.
6- Let it boil for 5 minutes or until all the water is absorbed
7- Switch off the gas and keep it at rest.
8- Tasty and nutritious dalia is ready to eat
