CHEESY-GARLICKY MUSHROOM SANDWICH /HEALTHY AND FILLING MUSHROOM-CORN SANDWICH
Hello Summer! And all the food we love to eat in this season. The weather is changing gradually and we can feel a little heat these days. At this time of the year, the heat has approached a little earlier as compared to the previous years. I have started changing my day to day menu in my kitchen. Bidding goodbye to the stuffed greasy paranthas, I am ready to welcome the lighter dishes.
Sandwiches and bread-based many other dishes are my first choice these days. As the winter veggies along with mushrooms are still existing, I never lose the opportunity to use them. Sharing the mushroom sandwich with a hint of garlic and richness of the cheese. A few more veggies like onion and red bell pepper add the taste, crunch, health and beauty to the sandwich
ALL WE NEED TO MAKE CHEESY-GARLICKY MUSHROOM SANDWICH
• Button mushrooms (sliced) – 200 gms
• Butter – 1 tbsp
• Minced or grated garlic – 1 tsp
• Grated mozzarella cheese – 1-2 tbsp/to taste
• Sliced onions – 1/4 cup
• Red bell peppers (cubed) 1/4 cup
• Corn kernels – 1/4 cup(blanched)
• Salt – to taste
• Crushed black pepper – 1/2 tsp
• Mixed Italian dried seasoning – 1tsp
STEP BY STEP
STEP 1-
• Heat butter in a fry pan and add grated garlic. Saute for a few seconds
• Add chopped onions at first and then mushrooms and red bell peppers. Saute all the things at high flame for 2 minutes.
• Next, add blanched corn kernals. Saute for a minute. Avoid overcooking to retain the crunch
• Add salt and the seasoning and mix nicely. Now add the grated cheese and mix well
• Switch off the flame and keep this aside to cool down completely
STEP 2-
HOW TO MAKE THE SANDWICH
• Spread the layer of the cooked mushroom on the bread slices
• Cover them with another slice of bread. Apply a thin layer of butter on top and grill in the toaster till perfection
• Healthy and filling Garlicky-Cheesy Mushroom Sandwiches are ready to enjoy at any time of the day
