You might agree that two or more flavours sometimes create magic in the dish. This happens in my kitchen whenever I bake a green apple cinnamon cake. Apples and cinnamon make one of the best pairings in the culinary world. This recipe never fails as green apples make the best-ever preparations because of their sweet-sour taste and crunch.
This super moist delicious cake is one of the most favourite cakes in my family. With the arrival of these delicious and juicy apples in the market, I always plan to bake a yummy cake out of them.
A quick apple jam and the glaze prepared with apple pulp and juice are accompaniments to the cake. Nothing more is needed with the evening tea when there is a moderate piece of this delicious cake

Preparation time – 10 minutes
Baking time – 50-60 minutes at 150℃ (baking time varies from oven to oven)

INGREDIENTS-:

All-purpose flour – 225 gms or 1 cup
Softened butter – 120 gms
Eggs – 2 nos.
Green apple – 1 large sized (diced into small chunks with peels)
Caster sugar – 100 gms
Cinnamon powder – 2 1 tsp
Baking powder – 1 tsp
Baking soda – 1/4 tsp
Milk – 2 tbsp

INGREDIENTS FOR APPLE JAM -:
Green apple – 1
Sugar – 1/2 cup
Cinnamon powder – 1 tsp
INGREDIENTS FOR APPLE GLAZE
Apple juice – 2tbsp
Powdered sugar – 3-4 tbsp

METHOD FOR CAKE -:

1- Sift flour with baking powder and baking soda and keep them aside
2- Grease the cake mould with butter and then dust with flour
3- Coat apple cubes with cinnamon powder and keep them aside
4- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
5- Add eggs 1 at a time and whisk well
6- Add flour in 3 batches and fold gently
7- Add cinnamon-coated apple cubes and fold gently
8- Pour the batter into the prepared cake mould and level it with the help of a spatula.
9- Bake the cake for 50 minutes at 150℃ or the toothpick comes out clean
10- Let the cake cool down to room temperature and prepare to make an apple jam
METHOD FOR APPLE JAM -:
1- Grate apples with their peals and add them with sugar in a saucepan
2- Cook for 5 minutes until the sugar is dissolved and cooked well
3- Add 1 tsp cinnamon powder to finish the jam
METHOD FOR APPLE GLAZE -:
1- Add apple juice little by little to powdered sugar and mix well to prepare the glaze
2- Drizzle this sweet-sour glaze over the cooled cake
3- Delicious green apple cinnamon cake is ready to enjoy
