Multi Grain Pan Cakes (Cheela) With Greens |
Multigrain pancakes are savoury pancakes or fritters or cheelas with 4 grains. The four-grain flours are besan/chickpea flour, oats, ragi flour, and semolina/sooji. All these flours are mixed together into a batter to make super healthy and tasty pancakes. These savoury pancakes are a healthy option to kick start the day
Above all, a few green veggies added to it make it ideal for breakfast. These pancakes or cheelas are cooked with little oil applying both sides making them crisp golden brown. They can be relished with chutneys. These cheelas are very easy to make and can be cooked under 20 minutes.

INGREDIENTS –
1 – gram flour or besan – 1 cup
2 – Plain oats – 1/2 cup.
3 – Ragi Flour – 1/4 cup
4 – Samolina or sooji – 1/2 cup
5 – Finely chopped spinach – 1/2 cup
6 – Spring onion chopped – 1/2 cup
7 – Chopped coriander and green chilies
8 – Chopped onions – 1 medium
9 – Oil for cooking – Sufficient enough
10 – Sufficient water for the batter
11 – Salt, red chilly powder, pepper, chaat masala, cumin seeds – tastewise.
METHOD –
1 – make a batter of all the ingredients mentioned above (except oil) like all the four flours, green vegetables, salt, and all the spices .
Keep the batter at rest for 15 minutes so that everything come together nicely
2 – When the batter gets set, prepare to make cheelas. In a non-stick pan sprinkle a few drops of oil. Spread a ladleful of batter in the center and spread in the circular motion. When the pan side is cooked, flip it to cook the other side upto golden brown hues
3- Make all the pancakes using oil until golden brown and crisp on both sides
4- When cooked to perfection on both sides, prepare to serve them hot with tomato ketchup in the breakfast
