The first rain of monsoon had knocked both the Southern and Western regions a few days ago, but North India is still burning. The Sun God is shining to their fullest leaving everyone sweaty. In this condition, nothing much is needed other than something refreshing and chilled to drink
And the lassi is the most perfect drink at this time around. This curd based sweet drink is prepared plain or sometimes added with other ingredients. Fruit-based lassis are wonderful like mango or banana lassi. Today I am sharing a unique lassi prepared by adding khoya or mava pedas. This refreshing pedhe vali lassi (पेड़े वाली लस्सी) is quite thick and filling. In harsh summers when we have a loss of appetite, this glassful of chilled lassi is a complete bliss

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED (quantities can be adjusted to your need)
• Thick curd or yogurt – 150 ml
• Chilled water – 50 ml
• Pede/pedhe – 3+1 for garnish
• Sugar – 2 tsp or to taste
• Chopped nuts (pistachios, almonds and cashew nuts etc.) -For garnish
• Ice cubes – 4-5
DIRECTIONS
1- Add all the ingredients except nuts and 1 peda to the blender and blend until all the ingredients are incorporated well with each other
2- Pour the lassi into the glass and garnish with chopped nuts and 1 crushed peda on the top
3- Serve chilled the wonderfully tasty and refreshing Peda Lassi
