Soya and soya  products are one of the healthiest foods as these contain high protein content, so highly recommended by the nutritionalists for those who follow the  weight loss programs.
Soya makes many interesting dishes like soya keema or soya bhurji.Soya milk or soya milk products like tofu also makes a lot of healthy dishes like tofu salad and stir fried tofu and many more.
I too add soya dishes to my diet in some way or the other. Soya keema or soya granuals bhurji is fondly eaten in my family.I used to make chapati rolls with soya keema filling to add to my kids’ tifins when they were school going.So here is the recipe of this healthy and yummy soya keema which i have prepared adding fresh peas

Ingredients

1 – Soya granuals (soaked for 30 minutes) – 1cup
2 – Chopped onions – 1/4 cup
3 – Chopped tomatoes – 1/4 cup
4 – Chopped green chilly – 1 tsp
5 – Peas or matar – 1/2 cup
6 – Salt – 2 tsp
7 – Red chilly powder – 1 tsp
8 – Turmeric or haldi powder – 1 tsp
9 – Coriander powder – 1 tsp
10 – Garam masala powder – 1 tap
11 – Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
12 – Oil – 2 tbsp
13 – Water – 1/4 cup

 Instructions

1 – Firstly squeeze soya granuals or chura to drain excess water and keep aside
2 – Heat oil in a pan and add cumin/jeera to crackle
3 – Add chopped onion and green chilly
4 – Cook it until onion become soft
5 – Add salt and all the powdered spice and cook for a while.At this stage add chopped     tomatoes and cook this masala until oil leaves the pan
6 – Add peas and soaked soya granuals or chura. Add 1/4 cup of water and cover the pan
7 – Cook the soya dish until peas become soft and the water is absorbed
8 – The tasty and healthy soya keema dish is ready to serve with roti or paranthas
