This month faces the severe cold in north India and til and jaggery keep the body warm.Both the ingredients have essential minerals too which are quite beneficial. These ingredients are iron-rich and increase the immunity.Til or sesame seeds contain oil which is healthy for skin nourishment.Khoya or mava is added in the preparation to make it soft and melt in mouth consistency

INGREDIENTS –
White sesame/safed til – 1 cup or 100 gms + 1 tbsp for garnishing
Grated khoya/mava _ 1 cup or 100 gms
Jaggery/gur (grated) – 50 gms or 1/2 cup
Ghee 1 tbsp
Water _ 2 tbsp
Green cardamom powder – 2 tsp
A greased thali
METHOD -:
1- Dry roast sesame seeds until light golden brown and keep aside
2- Let them cool and grind coarsely except 1 tbsp of them to keep aside for garnishing
3- Add ghee to a pan and heat it.Add grated khoya and roast until light golden brown
4- Add jaggery/gur and 2 tbsp water
5- Gur/gaggery will start melting and come to a syrup consistency.Don’t overcook it
6- Add dry roasted powdered til and cardamom powder. stir for 2 minutes or until mixture leaves ghee
7- Pour this into a greased thali and garnish with leftover til.
8 – Let it cool completely and cut into desired shape and size
