MUNG DAL-PALAK CHEELA / SAVORY PANCAKE WITH MUNG DAL AND SPINACH/ A HEALTHY BREAKFAST

If you are a fitness freak like me, then this MUNG DAL PALAK CHEELA (savoury pancake) is a delightful meal to kick start your day. Dals or lentils are the staple and being healthier these are the first choice for my everyday menu. I cook a variety  of dals in the main course everyday but for a change, I like to make something different with them in the breakfast

To make this mung dal cheela, the preparations begin beforehand by soaking yellow mung dal for 3-4 hrs. Soaked dal is ground to add a few veggies like onions, carrots, and some greens like spinach and coriander leaves.  A few aromatics like ginger and chilies and some regular spices are added to increase the taste. A batter is prepared by combining all the ingredients and spreading a ladleful on the hot pan to cook the cheela on both sides. These healthy cheelas can be enjoyed  with chutneys of your taste
