Our ancestors and the creators of the ancient and sacred Ayurvedic texts too were greatly aware of its properties and had well versed the benefits of this magic spice. They had emphasized to use it on the daily bases.  Its health benefits especially It’s anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and antifungal properties have been mentioned in these ages-old texts.
If you have got hurt or suffering from flues, or coughs and colds,  body aches and in asthma too this is the first remedy given by moms and grandmoms in our homes. The turmeric powder added to hot milk with any natural sweetener like gur/jaggery or honey does magic to increase the medicinal properties of this turmeric or golden latte. I added a little cinnamon powder and spoonful of honey to get the complete benefits when I caught up with the flu last week
