French Toasts with caramalized Peaches

This simple and rustic breakfast is a satisfying meal on a lazy Sunday morning especially during winters when I want to cook something warm and filling. And when I cook them,  I love to serve these toasts with the juicy fresh and seasonal fruits like pears or apples. I love to caramelize them as their juices get concentrated after turning into sugar. When this sugar is caramelized with salted butter, this gives lovely flavours to the fruit. These caramelized fruits are the best compliment to easy to make French toasts.

This time I got some juicy peaches from the supermarket and could not resist myself to use them with the super tasty French toasts. These toasts are healthy as well,  prepared with eggs and milk adding cinnamon powder which gives them a sweet note along with a moderate drizzle of honey. In fact, these toasts,  along with the caramelized fruits,  is the best breakfast to kick start a day

 Ingredients

    • Eggs – 2 nos
    • Milk – 1/4 cup
    • Sugar – 2 tbsp or to taste
    • Cinnamon powder – 1 tsp
    • Butter – 4 tsp
    • Honey to drizzle over the prepared toasts

Ingredients for caramelized peaches

    • Peaches(sliced) – 2-3 nos
    • Sugar – 2 tsp
    • Butter – 2 tsp

  Instructions

1- Crack eggs in a broad bowl and add sugar, milk and cinnamon powder. Whisk well to combine everything

2- Heat a pan at low flame and add butter. Dunk the bread slice into the egg-milk batter

3- Cook them till they get golden colour both sides

Method for caramelized peaches

1- slice each peach/khumani into 3-4 slices. Heat a pan and add butter. Spread sugar over butter and add sliced peaches on the sugar

2- Cook the peach slices until caramelized and get the golden colour both sides

3- Serve the tasteful caramelized peaches with the health French toasts giving a drizzle of honey
