This dish of mine is pretty near to the pav bhaji. The veggies are the same which are used to cook bhaji. This bhaji is stuffed between the pav. A sprinkle of pav bhaji masala and cheese increases the taste. The buns are brushed with chilly butter and finally grilled for a few minutes so that the cheesy and buttery top is cooked well. Grilling makes the pav bhaji sliders extraordinarily appetizing and tasty. This snack is easy to serve and convenient to carry. This  can be enjoyed as finger food at any place and time

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED

• BUNS/ Pav – 8 nos (2 packs)
• Large onion – 1 no (finely chopped)
• Small onion – 1 no(finely chopped)
• Medium Capsicum  – 1 no (finely chopped)
• Medium carrot – 1 no (finely chopped)
• Large tomatoes  – 2 nos(finely chopped or pureed)
• Boiled potato – 1-2 no (mashed)
• Paneer/cottage cheese – 150 gms(finely cubed or mashed)
• Processed cheese – 4 -5 tbsp +4 tsp(grated)
• Cooking oil – 1 tbsp
• Salt – 2 tsp
• Jeera/cumin  – 1 tsp• Red chilly powder  – 1 tsp
• Turmeric/haldi powder – 1/2 tsp
• Pav bhaji masala – 2 +1 tsp
• Juice of 1 lemon

INGREDIENTS FOR CHILLI BUTTER
• Butter – 2 tsp
• Red chilly flakes  – 1 tsp

HOW TO MAKE BHAJI

1- Heat oil in a kadahi and add cumin/jeera. Allow jeera to crackle and add chopped onions and carrots.  Cook the vegetables for a minute

2- When onions and carrots are soft, add chopped capsicum.  Saute for a minute at high flame(Avoid overcooking)

3- Next, add boiled and mashed potatoes. Stir well

4- Now add salt and all the powdered spices. Combine well and roast the veggies for a minute

5- Next, add chopped tomatoes and cook them for a minute

6- Finely add mashed or cubed paneer. Combine this with the veggies and cook for a minute. Switch off the flame

How to make Chilly Butter
In a microwave-safe bowl, add butter and chilly flakes. Microwave them for 30 seconds and the chilly butter is ready

HOW TO MAKE PAV BHAJI SLIDERS

1- With a sharp big knife,  cut the pavs horizontally in 2 halves

2- On the flat base, spread a thick layer of bhaji

3- Spread the second layer of grated cheese

4- Sprinkle pav bhaji masala all over the cheese layer

5- Cover the stuffing with other half of the buns. Make 2 criss-cross cuts on each with a sharp knife

6- Apply chilly oil with a brush on the top and between the cuts. Put some cheese and chopped onions in each cut

7- Place the buns in a baking tray. Grill the buns for 4-5 minutes or until the cheese melts nicely

8- Take out the baking tray and sprinkle some chopped onions on the top of the buns

9- Serve hot and enjoy tasty pav bhaji sliders
