0

I am a big zucchini lover and you will find a variety of zucchini dishes on my blog. Right from pancakes to savoury breakfast muffins are such healthy dishes with this versatile veggie. Whenever it is available in our vegetable market, I will definitely buy to take full advantage of it

This time pakodas or chips or fritters for those who love deep fried food. You must have cooked  potato chips or French fries many time,  but there must be something different every time. These crisp chips are worth to munch as an evening snack. The batter prepared with chilled soda water makes them super crunchy and flaky. Whenever I cook fish and chips dish i replace potato chips with zucchini chips

Ingredients

•  Zucchini cut into stics of 2×2 cm thickness and 10 cm long – 10-15 stics
•  Maida /flour – 1 cup/100 gms
•  Soda water – sufficient enough to make a medium thick batter
•  Salt – 2 tsp
•  Red chilly powder – 2 tsp
•  Italian seasoning mix – 2 tsp
•  Garlic powder – 1 tsp
•  Onion powder – 1 tsp

Step By Step

1-  Heat oil in a kadahi to prepare for deep frying

2-  Add all the spices and salt to the flour. Add chilled soda water to make a semi-thick batter

* One important thing to  remember is that this batter is not kept at rest otherwise the fizz reduces resulting the chips with less crunch

3-  Dip the zucchini sticks into the batter and deep fry these chips until crisp and golden brown

4-  Serve the yummy zucchini chips with green onion-coriander chutney
