The awesome boondi raita is the most basic and rustic raita preparation among all the curd based side dishes. Packed with savoury snacks, this raita is very complete in itself with soaked boondi, crunchy boondi, some greens(mint or coriander) and a few delightful spices which are digest friendly.

Boondi is a deep-fried crunchy-savoury snack prepared with chickpea(besan) flour batter. This can be cooked easily at home or brought from the store. If you have store-bought boondi in hand, it takes only 5-6 minutes to prepare this Boondi Raita. The only preparation to be done is to soak the boondi for 3-4 minutes to get rid of extra oil in which it is deep-fried

Pudina-Bhuna Jeera Masala and black salt make it stomach-friendly and mint or coriander leaves give it freshness. This raita is bliss in the summer season and gives a cool effect to the body making your meal a complete and delightful one

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED
•  Thick curd/yoghurt – 1 cup
•  Boondi  – 3 tbsp+2 tsp
•  Black salt – 1 tsp or to taste
•  Pudina-BhunaJeera Masala – 1 tsp/to taste
•  Mint/Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp (torn by hands)

HOW TO MAKE BOONDI RAITA
•  Soak 3 tbsp boondi in water for 3-4 minutes so that it becomes soggy
•  Whisk the curd well. Squeeze boondi with hand to get rid of water and oil
•  Add this boondi to the curd and mix well
•  Add salt, pudina-BhunaJeera Masala and green leaves
•  Mix well and refrigerate to make it cool before serving
