POHA CUTLETS/LEFTOVER POHA CUTLETS

These crisp and yummy looking poha cutlets are prepared with cooked poha. Some cooked poha was left after today’s breakfast and when my kids wanted to eat something in the evening, I made these yummy cutlets out of that leftover poha to satisfy their hungry souls
They ate to their fill but could not figure out the star behind the stage. The leftover poha was successfully transformed into the crisp cutlets. Try to make them in your kitchen and they won’t disappoint you, I’m pretty sure about that😊

2-  Mash potatoes and add to crushed poha
* Break all the lumps while mashing potatoes

3-  Add other ingredients except for oil and make a dough combining. Mash it with hands or give a few pulses in the grinder
* Avoid getting it too pasty. Keep it with little coarse consistency

4-  Make walnut-sized balls and press slightly between palms to give cutlets like shape. Refrigerate for 10 minutes to set

5-  Heat oil in the frying pan and shallow fry both sides until they become golden and crisp both sides

7 – Serve crisp and yummy Poha cutlets with chutneys

NOTES
1-  You can add some more grated/finely chopped veggies. As I make poha with lots of veggies so I didn’t add them
2-  You can deep fry them to make them extra crisp. For this, you would have to roll them into a slurry and bread crumbs before frying
