Today I am sharing an amazing Tomato-Garlic chutney. This chutney goes very well with dosas and idlis. Yesterday when I planned to cook Kanchipuram Idlis, I made this chutney which took the taste of Kanchipuram idlis to another level. Hope you too will give a try to this tasty side dish

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED
• Tomatoes (chopped coarsely) – 4-5 nos
• Red dry chilly – 2-3 or to taste
• Garlic cloves – 4-5 nos
• Chana dal – 1 tsp
• Urad dal – 1 tsp
• Salt to taste
• Water – as required to ease the blending
• Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
• Asafoetida/heeng powder
• Curry leaves
STEP BY STEP
1- In a pan add oil when heated, add mustard seeds, Chana dal, urad dal. When fried add red chillies followed by garlic cloves and curry leaves.fry them a little
2- Time to add chopped tomatoes and salt. Cook them until become mushy. Switch off the flame and allow it to cool. In a blender add the mixture, little water and make into a fine paste ..transfer the chutney to a separate bowl
