EGG COLESLAW SALAD/ A WHOLESOME SALAD WITH FRESH VEGETABLES AND EGGS
This salad is colourful, healthy, filling, and wholesome. This is a Coleslaw salad that originated in the Netherlands. Coleslaw is a cabbage salad containing mainly thin shreds of green and purple cabbage. Other colourful veggies accompany it like carrots, onions, and peppers. Authentically both green and purple cabbage are used in the coleslaw salad as star veggies
In today’s preparation, the egg coleslaw contains cubes of boiled eggs and veggies that make it healthy, filling, and wholesome. This salad is served cold and can be refrigerated for 2-3 days so it does not become soft and soggy. This salad can be served as a side dish or a condiment with other dishes in the main course. ● INGREDIENTS NEEDED
• Shredded cabbage – 1 cup
• Thinly sliced red onions – 1/2 cup
• Thinly sliced capsicum – 1/4 cup
• Thinly sliced red bell pepper – 1/4 cup
• Thinly cut carrot Julians – 1/4 cup
• Hard-boiled eggs – 6 nos (small cubes)
• Salt – To taste
• Black pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
• Roasted garlic powder – 1tsp
• Mayonnaise – 1/2 cup
● HOW TO MAKE COLESLAW SALAD
1- Let’s begin the process by taking a mixing bowl. Add shredded cabbage, sliced onions, carrot Julians, and both types of bell pepper Julians to the bowl
2- Time to add salt, crushed pepper powder, garlic powder, and red chilly flakes
3- Now add mayonnaise and small cubes of boiled eggs.
4- Combine all the ingredients with the help of a spatula or spoon
5- Refrigerate the salad for sometime and serve delicious and filling egg coleslaw salad with your meals
