Ingredients
- Cooked rice – 1 cup
- Fine sooji or semolina – 1/2 cup
- Finely chopped onions – 2 tbsp
- Raw peanuts – 1/4 cup
- Chopped coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
- Salt – to taste or 1 tsp
- Red chili powder and turmeric powder – 1 tsp each
- Amchur /dry mango powder – 1 tsp
- Chaat masala – 1 tsp
Instructions
1 – Firstly, fry peanuts till light brown and keep aside to cool
When cooled, grind them to a coarse powder
2 – In the same grinder, grind coarsely the cooked rice with 2 tsp water and keep aside
3 – Take a bowl and mix everything except oil, to make a dough
4 – Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into cutlets and refrigerate them to set for 10 minutes
5 – Heat oil at a high flame in a kadahi and deep fry each cutlet to golden and crisp
6 – Serve this amazing snack with chutney as an evening snack
